MoReVoX DriveDrums V2

Distortion is at the heart of an exciting drum sound. MoReVoX built DriveDrums around that idea, crafting its distortion through vacuum tubes, analog tape machines and classic preamps. The samples range from subtle warmth to aggressive, violent saturation.

Every sample was tested in real mixes, both for drum replacement and on its own. The sounds come in two sets.

• Drive samples use traditional hardware harmonic distortion for a smoother, musical character, with the warmth of tape compression and subtle tube saturation.
• Over samples go for bold distortion, built from valve and console preamps, analog tape saturation, heavy tube compression and dedicated distortion outboard.

Version 2 adds Multidrive. In place of room samples, each sound has three distortion colors on the room channels. You blend them in the Drumagog 6 mixer.

MoReVoX made the colors by splitting the original drum sounds into frequency bands and sending each band through its own analog distortion chain. It behaves like parallel analog processing on a mixing desk. Each channel shapes one part of the tone.
